Commission Facts

The Public Arts Commission was established by, and operates under Title 2, Chapter 6, Article C of the Temple City Municipal Code

The Commission advises the City Council on matters pertaining to public art, including programming, procurement, preservation and funding.

The Commission meets regularly on the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Special meetings may be scheduled at other times as required. Regular meetings are cancelled if there are no agenda items.

The Commission consists of five members appointed by the City Council. All members must be Temple City residents or business owners. Below is the current member roster.

Commission members serve two-year terms and may be reappointed. There is no limit on the number of times a member may be reappointed. 

Commission members are not compensated for their service. 

Conflicts of Interest
Commission members may not serve on another City commission, however, they may serve on a City Council committee. Additionally, elected officials cannot serve on the Commission while in office.
