Economic Relief Grants
Updated July 9, 2020
The City Council has assembled more than $.5 million in federal funds to provide direct relief to businesses and residents. Please see below for an update on each program.
COVID-19 Emergency Small Business Grant Program
The City received 157 interest forms for the Small Business Grant Program. City staff has reviewed all of the interest forms submitted before July 6 and will be contacting the first group of business owners this week that met the initial requirements. If any of those businesses do not wish to participate or do not qualify, City staff will move on to the next group of businesses on the waiting list.
Given the limited federal funding, the City is no longer accepting interest forms for this program. If your business needs financial assistance, the County of Los Angeles announced on July 7 the Los Angeles Region COVID-19 Fund that will provide grants to small businesses. The City received 142 interest forms for the Rental Assistance Program. City staff has reviewed all the interest forms and have reached out to the first 71 residents that submitted (the program is on a first-come, first-serve basis) meeting the interest form requirements. City staff has been reviewing documents as they come in. Some residents have withdrawn their name from the program for various reason. The City will be accepting interest forms until 71 residents have been approved for the program. To submit an interest form, please click on the link below.
